At our November monthly meeting, PSA member Virginia Causton-Keene, gallery director at the Besty Lueke Creative Arts Gallery, discussed the importance of presentation quality for artwork presented in the gallery. She included an explaination of appropriate framing and hanging hardware. Besty Lueke hosts large group shows like our recent 2025 Juried Exhibition, and also exhibits artwork from very small groups and individuals. The galley is booked up through 2026. To qualify for an exhibition, one must have a website and a presence on Instagram.
Three new PSA members made highly articulate presentations about themselves and their artwork. They were part of a class of six members selected from fifteen applicants in the recent new member screening process. Print maker Brian Dearden showcased his artistic and technical process. Photographer Dean Schonfeld presented his expertise with film based, black and white photographs. Rollence Patugan, an actor and photography teacher, discussed how his life’s journey influences his subject matter.
