The Associates of Brand Library & Art Center is presenting a retropective and complete survey of PSA's Honorary Member Robert Brown, offering a unique opportunity to view a lifetime's worth of artistic achievement. Mr. Brown was a long time Glendale resident and one of southern California's most important, creative, and prolific 20th Century visual artists.
Mr. Brown was born in San Francisco in 1917 and died in October, 2009 in Glendale at the age of 92. He received his Bachelor of Arts from San Francisco State College and Masters of Fine Arts degrees from both the California College of Arts and Crafts and the University of Southern California. Mr. Brown was a Professor of Fine Art at Glendale Community College and taught there from 1948 to 1983.
