| Biographic Information: |
Frederick Zimmerman (1886-1974)
Born: Canton, Ohio 1886 Died: Arcadia, California 1974 After graduating from high school in Canton, Ohio, Zimmerman moved to Pasadena, California and enrolled and graduated from University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California. He studied under sculptor Victor D. Brenner as well. He exhibited locally and was an instructor at the Pasadena Art Institute in 1962. He was a charter member of the Pasadena Society of Artists, where he served as President in 1946-1947. He also was a member of the California Art Club and the Laguna Beach Art Association. His exhibitions include the California State Fair. His work is in the collections of the John Muir Public School in Seattle, Washington, and the Pasadena Unified School District, and the Monrovia School District, both in California.
