| Artist Statement: |
Because of the variety of medias with which I am working at this time, one needs to see my website, saulsart.com, to read individual statements on each series that is represented.
Briefly the fishing lures have to do with irony, the duality of life. Later ones address the environment.
The mask and bird 3D images have to do with environmental and social issues, such as deforestation and over consumption. |

| Biographic Information: |
I was born and raised in a small Oklahoma town, where it was hot in the summer, cold in the winter and often felt wind from the south. No matter what else my family members did, they liked to fish the local lakes there, and in Minnesota, where we vacationed. That and other water sports later influenced my imagery. After receiving my BA in art, I moved to California to teach in the Glendale School District. Continuing my education at California State University at Los Angles, I earned my MA degree. I am now working full-time on my career as an artist. Married, with two adult children, I live in scenic La Canada, California. |
