I have been painting with watercolors for over twenty years. My paintings are traditional and done in the traditional style of transparent watercolor, leaving the paper for the whites. Still lifes, and florals are mainly my subject matter. The still lifes are wrappers and foils because I find the reflective and transparent qualities compelling. Most of the florals I currently do are roses or cactus flowers. Lately I have done a series of pond surfaces; again, love for reflective surfaces!

I was born in 1952 in Southern California and have resided in this area all my life. In 2005 I left my job in Motion Picture to paint full time. I had been a signwriter for thirty years, self employed and then for the movie studios. Now I am able to make art full time.
