Jackie Lakely is a multi-media artist who makes her home in Pasadena, California, with her husband Jim and their pets Darby, Alex and Eskimo Kitty. She works primarily in acrylic and collage, but also in watercolor, oil, pastel and pen & ink. | Biographic Information: |
Jackie is an award-winning artist who moved to Southern California from Arlington, Virginia in late 2005. She has participated in many juried exhibits and held several solo shows in the past 15 years, and her work is in private, corporate and museum collections. Her work mixes reality and abstraction, incorporating her surroundings with vibrant color, pattern and texture. She collages everyday items such as paint chips, receipts and journal pages into her artwork, along with a variety of painting and transfer techniques, to create colorful works of art. She works in a variety of media, primarily acrylic and collage. |
