Biographical Information:
My name is Aaron Gil. I have been a photographer for 25 years. I've recently become re-inspired to create fine art works through photography with sea shell still lifes and western themes.

As a young boy, my Father instilled in me an appreciation for Art. Often we would visit local museums in Southern California and discuss art in books. My excitement for photography began at a young age and a passion for photography was ignited during my first visit to a darkroom in my first year of high school. From the very first time I witnessed a photograph magically appear in a developer tray, I knew that I wanted to do create with a camera for the rest of my life.

My photography skills developed over the years by learning from passionate instructors in High School and College. But mainly, I've learned through trial and error.

Creating a piece of work may stem from a vision that appears in my mind. I pay special attention to color, details and setting of a vision and then make a plan to create it. I'll use creativity to bring all of the pieces of this vision together.

Over the years I have honed in on a style that is heavily influenced by history and classical art. The lifestyle in the past seemingly gave special attention to detail and grace and this is what I am most attracted to and influenced by. Using finishes such as muted color, black and white or textures helps to fulfil this style.
